The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has been started in 2001 with an objective to educate, create and disseminate computing knowledge and technology, 2 Professors 3 Associate Professors, and 10 Assistant Professors, who aim at delivering quality lectures that blends with their rich research experience. Numerous research papers have been published in National and International Journals and Conferences. The Department promotes active industry-institute collaboration by organizing workshops and by taking part in sponsored research projects and consultancy services. The Department is proud to have a vibrant student fraternity who pursue Undergraduate and Post-graduate courses. B.Tech programme has been initiated in the Department with an initial intake of 60 in 2001. It also has introduced M.Tech programme with an initial intake of 18 in the year 2006. It has state-of-the-art infrastructure and computing equipment worth Rs50 lakhs, supported by high speed 40 Mbps Internet and wireless networks. To facilitate joint and active research, the Department has established Research and development cell(R&D) Centre. ACM and CSI student chapters serve as hubs of computing activity. The Department offers various training and certification programs to students like CISCO:CCNA, Oracle Certification ,and Sun Java Certification under TASK( Telangana academy for skill and development)to make the students employable.
